Collage Prompt:
Where do I find Queer Joy?

Viper (They/Them) (8)

Casey (she/her) (40s)
We are excited to share the first Pride/Swell Petit Project. This month, we are creating #collages in response to the prompt, “where do you find queer joy.”
Casey shares: ”I find queer joy when I share: space, food, supplies, ideas, gossip, joy. I was thinking about how much I miss this weekly “L Word Rewatch Party” that I did with my friends in Fredericton. We would gossip and laugh and share excellent food—it was a beautiful example of a space I could find queer joy. But I find it here too, on Instagram, at a distance, sharing art & supplies & ideas with others.”

Angela (they/them) (20s)
Angela's collage responds to the prompt by offering that "Queer joy is everywhere!"

Leann (she/they) (40s)
We are proud to share Leann’s amazing collage that takes up the prompt, “where do you find queer joy?”
Leann shares:
“I find queer joy with family and community. Exchanging knowledge, sharing skills, supporting and celebrating each other.”

ALIX (she/her) (20s)
We’re so excited to share Alix’s collage that responds to the prompt, “where do I find queer joy?” Alix shares:
Queer joy to me means being myself comfortably, and love ! I wanted to represent my relationship and how its related to my identity. I had fun finding imagery of things that make me feel happy and as part of a community, making collages while also discussing about life with friends and family really made the experience enjoyable!

Sophie (she/her) (20s)
